Perfect for septics and drainfields!
For Septics: One 4lb is needed for a 500 gallon septic tank, two 4lb RootX® for a 1,000 gallon tank and three 4lb RootX® for a 1,500.00 tank. For septic and drainfield applications, please click here.
For Sewers: Each 4lb jar will cover up to 100′ of a 4″ sewer line or 75′ of a 6″ line.
Your order will come with complete, detailed directions for use along with a FREE mask and latex-free gloves. See also “Downloads” for amounts and applications. Annual applications are recommended to prevent the re-growth of roots.
RootX® must be applied annually to prevent the regrowth of roots.
IMPORTANT
- Each jar of RootX® is one complete application and cannot be divided. There are 2 chemicals within the jar that must be premixed very well together before applying.
- Only the 2lb RootX® can be flushed down a toilet. The 4lb RootX® cannot be flushed as it will create too much foam causing it to overflow; it must only be applied to the clean-out or septic system.
- After flushing the 2lb RootX® down the toilet, you must immediately pour into the toilet a 5 gallon bucket of water to activate foam and to push the product down the line. After applying the 4lb RootX® to the clean-out, you must immediately pour in 10 gallons of water to activate foam and to push the product down the line. For septic directions, please click here.
- After applying RootX®, do not use any water in the house for 4 – 6 hours to allow RootX® time to work and to dry, which is what prevents the regrowth of roots for up to one year.
- Save the reusable funnel for your annual applications of RootX®.
